COMMUNITY COMMUNICATION

Announcement

August 4, 2023

This is to appeal to residents and road users in Ado Ekiti to exercise patience and apply caution while the de-siltation exercise is ongoing.

Motorists are particularly advised to exercise caution especially where the roads are narrow.

However, rest assured that the accumulated debris from the drains will not be left on the road unpacked as Governor Oyebanji has made adequate provision for prompt cart away without much delay.

In the same vein, we wish to apologize to residents and road users around Baptist High School/ Irewolede Estate, Ilawe Road Ado Ekiti for the difficulties faced by motorists since last week owing to the abandoned accumulated debris from the cleared drains.

Please note that the drainages in that axis were cleared by the road contractor handling Ado/Ilawe road rehabilitation and the debris will be packed any time from today.

We kindly request your patience with workers while the de-siltation exercise continues as clearing of our drains will not only prevent flooding in our communities, but it will also reduce damages caused by storm water on our roads.

Thank you for your usual understanding and cooperation. Together, we keep Ekiti working.
